Last night I had a dream that my younger sister, who does not like or respect me, was chasing me around my backyard with a chainsaw, trying to hurt me. She presses me up against the shed in the backyard and lets the chainsaw bite chunks of flesh and skin slowly from one of my hands. Then I turn and see my bf in a room with invisible walls (in another part of the backyard near the shed), with a door I know my sister can’t get through. I run into the room, and my hand isn’t bleeding any more. There are loads of old-fashioned dresses and their corresponding corsets hanging in boutique-like racks around the room. The whole place is airy and calming and nice. My bf helps me into a dark aqua corset, and he laces it very tight. My waist is tiny by now, and I think it looks great on me, but then he asks me to do something. Some physical task I can’t remember, a very simple task. And I can’t do it because the corset is laced too tightly, and my bf is upset/angry. What does this mean?
It sounds like it’s two dreams to me. (People often have more than one dream per night, although they usually only remember one, but hte dreams transition from one to another.)
the one about your sister is easy. It simply means that you’re afraid that you and your sister’s differences will tear you apart.
The one about your boyfriend is a little more complicated, but what I got out of it was:
You have old fashioned views, and he wants you to do something that you can’t do. Something that you find almost impossible. Not necessarily because you can’t physically do it, but maybe because you feel it’s immoral or wrong? and you also feel that he’s putting too much pressure on you (he put the corset on you) and it’s making you uncomfortable, but at the same time you kind of like the attention..
