can a normal filter fit in my fish tank?
guys i have just bought a fish tank about the size of the C.P.U of the computer. and i am doubtful whether a filter can fit in my tank. plzzz suggest soon as the water becomes dirty in 2 days.
go to petsmart and ask to talk to the most knowledgable person in Aquatics to help you find a good filter for your tank. we have a 10 gallon tank with a Top Fin filter and it works wonders. make sure when you buy your filter to buy extra filter cartridges at the same time. this makes it easier down the road when you need more, you’ll know you have the right ones. make sure you, also, change the water once a week (about 20-50%) and if you dont have an algae eater either get one or use algae destroyer to clean up your water. it’s also good to test the water every other day for ammonia (if there’s alot of fish), nitrates, nitrites, pH & alkalinity. when you change the water put some stress coat in the tank to calm the fish (it replaces their natural slime coating which relaxes them because they can get stressed when the tank is cleaned or when other fish are added).
