Belt Purple

If i am a purple belt in brazilian jiu-jitsu, and switches schools, what happens to my belt?
I recently recieved a purple belt in bjj and i currently live in seattle, i am planning on moving to hawaii to live with my girlfriend, i know of a couple of bjj schools in hawaii and planning on switching. What happens to my purple belt, do i stay at purple or start all over
BJJ is BJJ. When do you see a BJJ school place a big emphasis on belts? Never. Remember, you didn’t have to go through any kind of test to get it; you demonstrated your profeciency against classmates and in competition. You’re still a purple belt.
