Well, more and more people are realizing that the infamous history of sexy corsets have been largely exaggerated by the media (and by our grandmothers and great grandmothers). Sexy corsets have been around since the 16th century, or possibly even earlier, and have always had the same basic goal in mind: to support the breasts, gird the torso and shape the midsection into a fashionable silhouette. Sexy corsets have most frequently been used to help cinch the waist, giving women more of an hourglass figure than they would otherwise have on their own.
Old wives tales with regards to sexy corsets have been around for about as long as the sexy corsets have been themselves. Popular myths that have been passed down from generations to generations have told of women who have broken ribs trying to squeeze themselves into a smaller sexy corset, so that her waist would appear to be thinner. It has even been reported that some women died from wearing sexy corsets, as the tight binding messed up their internal organs beyond the point where they could still function.
However, most of these reports have been greatly exaggerated, and sexy corsets are totally safe to wear. So, you can feel free to wear sexy corsets as often as you would like, just as long as you are not lacing them up so tightly that you cannot breathe or crack ribs or something. You can find sexy corsets for sale just about anywhere online, and to find the retailers all you would need to do is a quick Google, Yahoo! or MSN (or any other search engine) search.
Because sexy corsets do not need to be laced up very tightly for you to achieve the silhouette that you are looking for, you should only purchase one that is at least one or two inches smaller than your normal waist size. That means, if you have a 30 inch waist, you should not buy one sexy corset smaller than 27 inches.
